About KRA

KRA is the governing body for the sport of Roundnet in Kentucky. That means that we help to provide playing opportunities, establish and communicate with school teams, and develop the sport of roundnet across the entire state.

The original Kentucky Roundnet Association was established in 2021 and went inactive after a short period of activity. It was re-established in the summer of 2023 and hosted its first tournaments later that fall.

As a group, we are committed to seeing this sport grow. We want to provide playing opportunities for anyone and everyone and a competitive sports experience for a much lower cost than most sports these days.

Summer 2025 and More

The Sport of Roundnet as a whole is in a rule-testing phase that will continue during the entire summer roundnet season. Because of this, and in an attempt to provide real and accurate gameplay data to USAR and the IRF, KRA is partnering with other Local Roundnet governing bodies in the Midwest to form the first annual MRS (Midwest Roundnet Series). Tournaments are played with test-package rulesets to give the opportunity to examine the effect of certain rules on gameplay.
